Ghost Hunters Continues Winning Ratings Streak

‘Ghost Hunters’ is #1 Cable Program
New York, NY – April 23, 2009 – A special crossover episode of SCI FI’s Ghost Hunters featuring an investigation by the team from Ghost Hunters International was a hit last night, haunting the competition and adding to the series’ winning ratings this season. Airing Wednesday from 9-10pm, the episode delivered a 2.0 Household rating, 3.0 million total viewers (season high), 1.7 million Adults 18-49 and 1.8 million Adults 25-54 (season high).
It was the #1 cable entertainment program for the day in both Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54, beating a new episode of South Park on Comedy Central in both key demos. In addition:
SCI FI was the #1 cable network airing entertainment programming in primetime for both Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.
Ghost Hunters was the #1 cable program on Wednesday for Adults 25-54 viewers for the 6th time in 7 weeks since it returned with new episodes on March 11th.
Last night’s episode was the #2-highest Adults 25-54 delivery in Ghost Hunters history for this demographic, trailing only the series high set in October 2008.
Last night’s 10pm repeat telecast of the series delivered 1.2 million Adults 18-49 and 1.2 million Adults 25-54, out-delivering new episodes of most cable series that aired in primetime that same evening, including Mythbusters and Pitchmen on Discovery, Dog the Bounty Hunter (Adults 25-54 only) and The Exterminators on A&E, and Monsterquest and UFO Hunters on History
