AETN International,, the distribution arm of A&E Television Networks, has finalised deals with German broadcasters for factual titles including Ice Road Truckers and Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Seasons one and two of Truckers, the highest-rated series to air on History Channel in the US and the UK, have been acquired by RTL, while RTL2 has picked up season four of real-life series Bounty Hunter as well as investigation series Crime 360 (11×60′).

“Germany continues to have a healthy appetite and appreciation for factual programming, with numerous slots in broadcasters’ schedules also highlighting the demand for diverse content,” said Jonathan South, AETN International’s director of international content sales for EMEA.

AETN International also licensed Crude (2×45′), Rome: The Rise & Fall of an Empire (4×60′), Journey To 10,000 BC (2×60′) and The Egyptian Book of the Dead (2×60′) to ZDF and Arte for Germany and France. All four series are from History Channel US.
